Ashtvinayak tour
Day 1: Mumbai/Pune to Morgaon, Siddhatek, and Theur
- Morning:
- Depart early from Mumbai/Pune to Morgaon (Approx. 3 hours from Pune).
- Visit the Mayureshwar Temple in Morgaon, the first temple of the Ashtavinayak circuit.
- Mid-Morning:
- Travel to Siddhatek (Approx. 1.5 hours from Morgaon).
- Visit the Siddhivinayak Temple, known for being the only idol with the trunk to the right.
- Afternoon:
- Proceed to Theur (Approx. 2 hours from Siddhatek).
- Visit the Chintamani Temple, where Lord Ganesha is believed to have retrieved the precious Chintamani gem.
- Evening:
- Travel back to Pune for an overnight stay or stay in Theur.
Day 2: Theur to Ranjangaon, Ozar, and Lenyadri
- Morning:
- Depart for Ranjangaon (Approx. 1 hour from Pune).
- Visit the Mahaganapati Temple in Ranjangaon, which houses a large and powerful Ganesha idol.
- Mid-Morning:
- Travel to Ozar (Approx. 1.5 hours from Ranjangaon).
- Visit the Vighneshwar Temple, known for removing obstacles.
- Afternoon:
- Proceed to Lenyadri (Approx. 30 minutes from Ozar).
- Visit the Girijatmaj Temple, located within a series of rock-cut caves. A small trek is required to reach the temple.
- Evening:
- Travel to a nearby town (e.g., Junnar) for an overnight stay.
Day 3: Lenyadri to Mahad and Pali
- Morning:
- Depart early for Mahad (Approx. 4 hours from Junnar).
- Visit the Varadvinayak Temple, where Lord Ganesha is believed to fulfill all wishes.
- Afternoon:
- Proceed to Pali (Approx. 1.5 hours from Mahad).
- Visit the Ballaleshwar Temple, the only Ganesha temple named after a devotee.
- Evening:
- Travel to Lonavala or a nearby town for an overnight stay.
Day 4: Pali to Mumbai/Pune
- Morning:
- If staying in Lonavala, you can explore some local attractions like the Bhushi Dam or Lonavala Lake before heading back.
- Drive back to Mumbai/Pune, completing the Ashtavinayak Yatra.
